Acne (Pimples)


Acne is a skin condition that occurs when your skin follicles becomes plugged of oil & dead skin cells. The gland produces the sebum, an oily liquid. The sebum carries dead skin cells through the follicles to the surface of the skin. Small hairs grow through the follicles out of the skin. Pimples grow when these follicles gets blocked resulting in accumulation of oil under the skin.
Acne / Pimples are not too dangerous but can leave skin scar, it heals slowly & when one begins to go away, other seem to crop up.
- Most common in teenagers of prevalence with 70-80%
- Most common in younger children’s.
- In Acne the skin cells, sebum & hair follicles can clump together into a plug this plug gets infected of bacteria resulting in swelling.
